A French street performer named Philippe Petit walks a tightrope between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. The Walk is a 2015 American English-language Adventure Biography movie starring Joseph Gordon-levitt, Ben Kingsley, Charlotte Le Bon, James Badge Dale, Guillaume Baillargeon, Émilie Leclerc and Kirby Delisle. The movie is inspired from To Reach the Clouds by Philippe Petit. TriStar Pictures in association with TriStar Productions, LStar Capital and ImageMovers. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jack Rapke, Robert Zemeckis and Steve Starkey. The Walk is written by Robert Zemeckis, Christopher Browne and Philippe Petit and it is directed by Robert Zemeckis. Sony Pictures Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Walk was released on 22nd October 2015 and takes a screen time of 123 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Walk was made on a budget of $35 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $61 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Robert Zemeckis and Christopher Browne.
