In the midst of World War I and the Armenian genocide, Mikael Boghosians quest for education, love, and survival takes him on a tumultuous journey filled with loss, tragedy, and resilience. The Promise is a 2016 American English-language Action Adventure motion picture featuring Oscar Isaac, Charlotte Le Bon, Christian Bale, Daniel Gim Nez Cacho, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Marwan Kenzari and Lukas Tomsik. Survival Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ralph Winter, William Horberg, Eric Esrailian and Mike Medavoy. The Promise is written by Terry George and Robin Swicord and it is directed by Terry George. Open Road Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Promise was released on 22nd June 2017 and takes a screen time of 134 minutes. The Promise was made on a budget of $90 million and at the box office it grossed only $1 million. Cinematography was done by Javier Aguirresarobe and editing by Steven Rosenblum. The music was composed by Gabriel Yared.
