Kathryn, a police officer turned UN worker, uncovers a sex-trafficking ring involving American personnel in post-war Bosnia and faces numerous obstacles while trying to expose the scandal. Voltage Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Christina Piovesan, Amy Kaufman, Celine Rattray, Benito Mueller and Wolfgang Mueller. The Whistleblower is written by Larysa Kondracki and Eilis Kirwan and it is directed by Larysa Kondracki. Entertainment One acquired the distribution rights for the film.
