The movie is inspired from The Snowden Files by Luke Harding Time of the Octopus by Anatoly Kucherena. Snowden was Produced by Moritz Borman, Eric Kopeloff, Philip Schulz-deyle and Fernando Sulichin. Snowden is written by Kieran Fitzgerald, Oliver Stone, Anatoly Kucherena, Luke Harding, John Goetz, Poul-erik Heilbuth, Klaus Nedergaard and Christine Wiegand and it is directed by Oliver Stone, John Goetz and Poul-erik Heilbuth. Open Road Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Snowden was released on 4th October 2017 and takes a screen time of 134 minutes. Snowden was made on a budget of $40 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Kieran Fitzgerald and Oliver Stone.
