The Horse Soldiers is a 1959 American English-language Adventure Romance motion picture featuring John Wayne, William Holden, Constance Towers, Judson Pratt, Hoot Gibson, Ken Curtis and Robert Perry. The movie is based on The Horse Soldiers 1956 novel by Harold Sinclair. The Mirisch Company was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) John Lee Mahin and Martin Rackin. The Horse Soldiers is written by John Lee Mahin, Martin Rackin and Harold Sinclair and it is directed by John Ford. United Artists acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Horse Soldiers was released on 1st July 1959 and takes a screen time of 120 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. The movie made a box office gross of $3 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by John Lee Mahin and Martin Rackin. Cinematography was done by William H. Clothier and editing by Jack Murray. The music was composed by David Buttolph.
