Kesari

A Sikh havildar named Ishar Singh earns the respect of his troops while defending Saragarhi fort against an approaching Afghan force, ultimately sacrificing his life alongside his men in a battle that is later acknowledged by the British Parliament. Kesari is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language Action Drama film featuring Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra, Mark Bennington, Mir Sarwar, Edward Sonnenblick, Vikram Kochhar and Hani Yadav. Dharma Productions in association with Cape of Good Films, Azure Entertainment and Zee Studios. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Sunir Khetarpal. Kesari is written by Anurag Singh and Girish Kohli and it is directed by Anurag Singh. Zee Studios acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Kesari was released on 21st March 2019 and takes a screen time of 150 minutes. Kesari was made on a budget of ₹126 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹151 crore. Cinematography was done by Anshul Chobey and editing by Manish More. The music was composed by Arko Pravo Mukherjee along with Jasbir Jassi, Jasleen Royal, Tanishk Bagchi, Chirantan Bhatt, Gurmoh and Raju Singh.
