12 Angry Men is a 1957 English-language Crime Drama motion picture directed by Sidney Lumet and produced by Henry Fonda and Reginald Rose under the banner of Orion-Nova Productions. There are two witnesses: a lady from across the street and an old man who lives below the defendant. 12 angry men stars Henry Fonda in the lead role along with an ensemble cast including Lee J. Cobb, Ed Begley, E. G. Marshall, Jack Warden, Martin Balsam and John Fiedler. The screenplay is written by Reginald Rose. The music was composed by Kenyon Hopkins. Cinematography was done by Boris Kaufman and editing by Carl Lerner. The motion picture has a running time of 96 minutes. It was released on 3rd April 1957 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. 12 Angry Men was made on a budget of $0 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $2 million.
