Red Tails is a 2012 American English-language Action Adventure film starring Nate Parker, David Oyelowo, Ne-yo, Elijah Kelley, Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard and Johnathan O nell Williams. The movie is based on Red Tails Black Wings: The Men of America s Black Air Force by John B. Holway. Lucasfilm Ltd. was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Rick Mccallum and Chas. Floyd Johnson. Red Tails is written by John Ridley, Aaron Mcgruder and John B. Holway and it is directed by Anthony Hemingway. 20th Century Fox acquired the distribution rights for the film. Red Tails was released on 20th January 2012 and takes a screen time of 125 minutes. Red Tails was made on a budget of $58 million and at the box office it grossed only $50 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by John Ridley and Aaron McGruder. Cinematography was done by John Aronson and editing by Michael O Halloran and Ben Burtt. The music was composed by Terence Blanchard.
