A young milliner named Sophie is cursed by a witch, and in her quest to break the curse, she befriends a wizard, meets a scarecrow, becomes a cleaning lady, and ultimately helps break the curse of a fire demon, leading to a happy ending where she and the wizard fly away in a new flying castle. Howls Moving Castle is a 2004 Japanese Japanese-language Animation Adventure movie featuring Chieko Baisho, Takuya Kimura, Akihiro Miwa, Tatsuya Gashûin, Ryunosuke Kamiki, Mitsunori Isaki and Daran Norris. The movie is inspired from Howl s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones. Studio Ghibli was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Toshio Suzuki. The movie is directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Toho acquired the distribution rights for the film. Howls Moving Castle was released on 1st April 2020 and takes a screen time of 119 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Howls Moving Castle was made on a budget of ¥2 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of ¥23 billion. The screenplay for the movie was written by Hayao Miyazaki. Cinematography was done by Atsushi Okui and editing by Takeshi Seyama. The music was composed by Joe Hisaishi.
