Daisy discovers old letters leading her to become fascinated by the legend of Violet Evergarden, a famous letter writer, while Claudia searches for Gilbert and finds him missing an eye and arm on a remote island, where a storm traps them and Violet writes a final letter before leaving the island, ultimately resigning from her job and living with Gilbert. Violet Evergarden the Movie is a 2020 Japanese English-language Animation Drama motion picture featuring Yui Ishikawa, Daisuke Namikawa, Takehito Koyasu, Hidenobu Kiuchi, Haruka Tomatsu, Koki Uchiyama and Anne Yatco. The movie is based on Violet Evergarden by Kana Akatsuki. Kyoto Animation was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Shinichir Hatta, Shinichi Nakamura, Kazusa Umeda, Megumi Suzuki and Shigeru Sait. The movie is directed by Taichi Ishidate. Shochiku acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Violet Evergarden the Movie was released on 3rd December 2020 and takes a screen time of 140 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released.
