In a kingdom affected by disease and the princes disappearance, a young man named Arren embarks on a journey with the archmage Sparrowhawk to save the land from imbalance, encountering various trials and defeating the powerful warlock Lord Cob with the assistance of a girl named Therru and the dragons, ultimately restoring balance. Tales from Earthsea is a 2006 Japanese Japanese-language Animation Adventure movie featuring Bunta Sugawara, Junichi Okada, Aoi Teshima, Y Ko Tanaka, Jun ichi Okada, Yûko Tanaka and Tara Platt. The movie is inspired from Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin Shuna s Journey by Hayao Miyazaki. Studio Ghibli was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Toshio Suzuki. The movie is directed by Gor Miyazaki. Toho acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Tales from Earthsea was released on 29th July 2006 and takes a screen time of 115 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Tales from Earthsea was made on a budget of $22 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $75 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Gor Miyazaki and Keiko Niwa. Cinematography was done by Atsushi Okui and editing by Takeshi Seyama. The music was composed by Tamiya Terashima.
