The Polar Express

On Christmas Eve, a skeptical boy reluctantly boards a train called the Polar Express heading to the North Pole, where he meets new friends, encounters obstacles, and ultimately learns the power of belief. The Polar Express is a 2004 American English-language Animation Adventure movie featuring Tom Hanks, Daryl Sabara, Nona Gaye, Jimmy Bennett, Eddie Deezen, Leslie Zemeckis and Patrick Pinney. The movie is inspired from The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg. Castle Rock Entertainment in association with Shangri-La Entertainment, ImageMovers, Playtone and Golden Mean Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Gary Goetzman, Steve Starkey, William Teitler and Robert Zemeckis. The Polar Express is written by Chris Van Allsburg, Robert Zemeckis and William Broyles Jr and it is directed by Robert Zemeckis. Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Polar Express was released on 25th November 2004 and takes a screen time of 100 minutes. The Polar Express was made on a budget of $165 million and at the box office it grossed only $7 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Robert Zemeckis and William Broyles Jr. Cinematography was done by Don Burgess and Robert Presley and editing by R. Orlando Duenas and Jeremiah O Driscoll. The music was composed by Alan Silvestri.
