An arrogant rookie racer gets stuck in a rundown town and learns about its history and residents, ultimately deciding to stay and help put the town back on the map. Cars is a 2006 American English-language Animation Comedy motion picture starring Owen Wilson, Paul Newman, Bonnie Hunt, Larry The Cable Guy, Cheech Marin, Tony Shalhoub and June Foray. Walt Disney Pictures in association with Pixar Animation Studios. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Darla K. Anderson. Cars is written by John Lasseter, Joe Ranft, Jorgen Klubien, Dan Fogelman, Kiel Murray, Phil Lorin and Steve Purcell and it is directed by John Lasseter and Joe Ranft. Buena Vista Pictures Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the film. Cars was released on 8th June 2006 and takes a screen time of 117 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Cars was made on a budget of $120 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $461 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Dan Fogelman, John Lasseter, Joe Ranft, Kiel Murray, Phil Lorin and Jorgen Klubien. Cinematography was done by Jeremy Lasky and Jean Claude Kalache and editing by Ken Schretzmann. The music was composed by Randy Newman.
