An elderly man fulfills his late wifes lifelong dream of traveling to Paradise Falls in South America with the help of a young boy and a talking dog, encountering obstacles along the way. Up is a 2009 American English-language Animation Adventure movie starring Ed Asner, Christopher Plummer, Jordan Nagai, Bob Peterson, Edward Asner, Delroy Lindo and Harry Shearer. Walt Disney Pictures in association with Pixar Animation Studios. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jonas Rivera. Up is written by Pete Docter, Bob Peterson and Tom Mccarthy and it is directed by Pete Docter and Bob Peterson. Walt Disney Studios acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Up was released on 7th August 2009 and takes a screen time of 96 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Up was made on a budget of $175 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $735 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Bob Peterson and Pete Docter. Cinematography was done by Patrick Lin and Jean-Claudie Kalache and editing by Kevin Nolting. The music was composed by Academy Award Oscar winner Michael Giacchino. At the 2010 Oscar Awards It won 2 awards including: Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Score and Best Animated Feature Film of the Year.
