A man competes in the Special Olympics under false pretenses to win a bet, but befriends other competitors and ultimately reveals his true identity before making amends with his newfound friends. The Ringer is a 2005 American English-language Comedy Sport motion picture featuring Johnny Knoxville, Brian Cox, Katherine Heigl, Jed Rees, Bill Chott, Edward Barbanell and Heath Young. Conundrum Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) John Jacobs, Peter Farrelly and Robert Farrelly. The Ringer is written by Ricky Blitt and directed by Barry W. Blaustein. Fox Searchlight Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Ringer was released on 23rd December 2005 and takes a screen time of 94 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Ringer was made on a budget of $20 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $40 million. Cinematography was done by Mark Irwin and editing by George Folsey Jr. The music was composed by Mark Mothersbaugh.
