A former golf prodigy living a aimless life in Texas becomes attracted to a psychologist who asks for a golf lesson, but faces challenges in his attempt to qualify for the U.S. Open and win over the psychologist from her current professional golfer boyfriend. Tin Cup is a 1996 American English-language Comedy Drama film featuring Kevin Costner, Rene Russo, Cheech Marin, Don Johnson, Linda Hart, Dennis Burkley and Nikky Smedley. Regency Enterprises was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Gary Foster. Tin Cup is written by John Norville and Ron Shelton and it is directed by Ron Shelton. Warner Bros. acquired the distribution rights for the film. Tin Cup was released on 16th August 1996 and takes a screen time of 134 minutes. Tin Cup was made on a budget of $45 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $53 million. Cinematography was done by Russell Boyd and editing by Kimberly Ray and Paul Seydor. The music was composed by William Ross.
