A man named Mike ODonnell, who abandoned his high school basketball game for his girlfriend, finds his life in disarray twenty years later, leading him to transform back into his 17-year-old self in order to fix his relationships with his family and guide them towards a better life. 17 Again is a 2009 American English-language Comedy Drama motion picture starring Zac Efron, Leslie Mann, Thomas Lennon, Michelle Trachtenberg, Matthew Perry, Tyler Steelman and Paul Rosenblum. New Line Cinema in association with Offspring Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot. 17 Again is written by Jason Filardi and directed by Burr Steers. Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. 17 Again was released on 16th April 2009 and takes a screen time of 105 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. 17 Again was made on a budget of $20 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $136 million. Cinematography was done by Tim Suhrstedt and editing by Padraic McKinley. The music was composed by Rolfe Kent.

Director Burr Steers (Igby Goes Down) doesnt always have a firm handle on what is and isnt appropriate; the film makes a few sharp detours into misogyny, and the level of smuttiness is surprisingly high, which may be a function of Efron wanting to grow away from his core audience too fast.
