A specialist in the Indian Army falls for the woman he was being forced to marry while also thwarting a terrorist cells plans to execute attacks in the city. Thuppakki is a 2012 Indian Tamil-language Action Crime movie starring Kajal Aggarwal, Joseph Vijay, Vidyut Jamwal, Sathyan Sivakumar, Zakir Hussain, Md Asif and Arsh Merchant. V Creations was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kalaipuli S. Thanu. The film is written and directed by A.r. Murugadoss and Ar Murugadoss. Gemini Film Circuit acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Thuppakki was released on 20th October 2020 and takes a screen time of 170 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Thuppakki was made on a budget of ₹70 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹121 crore. Cinematography was done by Santosh Sivan and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. The music was composed by Harris Jayaraj.
