Pokiri

Pandu is about rival mafia gangs in Hyderabad and corrupt police officers battling over control of the city, while a new DCP tries to stop them and a thug named Pandu gets caught up in the violence. Pokiri is a 2006 Indian Telugu-language Action Comedy movie featuring Mahesh Babu, Ileana D cruz, Prakash Raj, Nasser, Ashish Vidyarthi, Sayaji Shinde and Veera Ravi Kumar Yalla. Indira Productions in association with Vaishno Academy. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Puri Jagannadh and Manjula Ghattamaneni. Pokiri is written by Puri Jagannadh and Meher Ramesh and it is directed by Puri Jagannadh. Vaishno Academy acquired the distribution rights for the film. Pokiri was released on 27th April 2006 and takes a screen time of 168 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Pokiri was made on a budget of ₹12 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹66 crore. Cinematography was done by Shyam K. Naidu and editing by Marthand K. Venkatesh. The music was composed by Mani Sharma.
