Master

An interesting action thriller Master revolves around an alcoholic professor named John Durairaj who works in a juvenile home. When a gangster named Bhavani tries to utilize school children for criminal activities he decides to oppose him. The events that follow form the crux of the story. The film stars Vijay as the protagonist and Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist. The Principal photography began in October 2019 and ended in February 2020 and the filming took place in Delhi, Chennai and Karnataka. The screenplay was written by Rathna Kumar and Pon Parthiban and it was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film was produced by Xavier Britto and was distributed by Seven Screen Studios. Interestingly this is the first time Vijay has acted as a professor. The music was composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Adept cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan and clear cut editing by Philomin Raj makes it a watchable movie. This movie was released on 13 January 2021 and occupies screentime of 179 minutes.
