Kanagarathna Movies was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ramesh Singanamala and S.sathyaramamoorthy. Pokkiri is written by Puri Jagannadh, V. Prabhakar and Prabhu Dheva and it is directed by Prabhu Dheva and Prabhu Deva. Aascar Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Pokkiri was released on 12th January 2007 and takes a screen time of 160 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Pokkiri was made on a budget of ₹13 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹60 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Prabhu Deva. Cinematography was done by Nirav Shah and editing by Kola Bhaskar. The music was composed by Mani Sharma.
