The Kashmir Files

Shikara is a film about the violence and exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in 1989-90 and the present-day situation in the region, which follows a family who experiences the tragedy and their sons death in the conflict, told through flashbacks and current day recollections. The Kashmir Files is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language Thriller Drama film starring Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi, Chinmay Mandlekar, Bhasha Sumbli and Navneet Gairola. Jeetz Filmworks was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Pallavi Joshi, Vivek Agnihotri, Tej Narayan Agarwal and Abhishek Agarwal. The Kashmir Files is written by Vivek Agnihotri and Saurabh M. Pandey and it is directed by Vivek Agnihotri. Zee Studios acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Kashmir Files was released on 11th March 2022 and takes a screen time of 170 minutes. The motion picture made a box office gross of ₹79 crore. Cinematography was done by Udaysingh Mohite and editing by Shankh Rajadhyaksha. The music was composed by Rohit Sharma.
