Mr. Deeds Goes to Town is a 1936 American English-language Comedy Drama motion picture starring Gary Cooper, Jean Arthur, George Bancroft, Lionel Stander, Douglass Dumbrille, Raymond Walburn and Field Norton. The movie is based on Opera Hat 1935 short story by Clarence Budington Kelland. Columbia Pictures Corp. of California in association with Ltd. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Frank Capra. Mr. Deeds Goes to Town is written by Robert Riskin and Clarence Budington Kelland and it is directed by Frank Capra. Columbia Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie.
