A sexually frustrated suburban father has a mid-life crisis after becoming infatuated with his daughter's best friend. American Beauty is a 1999 American English-language Drama Romance movie starring Kevin Spacey, Annette Bening, Thora Birch, Allison Janney, Peter Gallagher, Mena Suvari and Ronald Reagan. Jinks/Cohen Company was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Dan Jinks and Bruce Cohen. American Beauty is written by Alan Ball and directed by Sam Mendes. DreamWorks Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. American Beauty was released on 2nd March 2000 and takes a screen time of 122 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. American Beauty was made on a budget of $15 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $356 million. Cinematography was done by Conrad L. Hall and editing by Tariq Anwar and Christopher Greenbury. The music was composed by Thomas Newman.
