During the Great Depression, a struggling performer named Ann Darrow agrees to star in a film alongside her favorite playwright, Jack Driscoll, but their journey to Skull Island takes a dangerous turn when Ann is abducted by natives as a sacrifice for a giant ape named Kong, leading to a series of events that ultimately end in tragedy.
