In 17th century Dutch Republic, unhappy in her childless marriage to a spice merchant, Sophia falls in love with the painter hired to portray her and her husband, and the two plot to escape to the new world together while Sophias housemaid friend passes off her pregnancy as her own. Tulip Fever is a 2017 English-language Drama History film featuring Alicia Vikander, Dane Dehaan, Jack O connell, Holliday Grainger, Tom Hollander, Matthew Morrison and Peter Theobalds.
