Samson, a Hebrew man who became engaged to a Philistine woman, loses his strength when a woman named Delilah cuts his hair, and he dies after bringing down a temple. Samson and Delilah is a 1949 American English-language Drama History motion picture starring Hedy Lamarr, Victor Mature, George Sanders, Angela Lansbury, Henry Wilcoxon, Olive Deering and Tanner. The movie is inspired from Judge and Fool a novel by Vladimir Jabotinsky Holy Bible. Paramount Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Cecil B. Demille. The movie is directed by Cecil B. Demille. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Samson and Delilah was released on 21st September 1950 and takes a screen time of 134 minutes. Samson and Delilah was made on a budget of $2 million and at the box office it grossed only $2 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Jesse L. Lasky Jr., Fredric M. Frank and Harold Lamb. Cinematography was done by George Barnes and editing by Anne Bauchens.
