In early 18th century, Queen Annes authority was overpowered by her confidante, Sarah Churchill, but things change after Sarahs cousin, Abigail Hill, comes to the palace as a scullery maid and eventually rises to be a close confidant of the Queen, which creates a havoc in the political affair of the monarchy. The Favourite is a 2018 English-language Biography Comedy motion picture featuring Olivia Colman, Emma Stone, Rachel Weisz, Emma Delves, Faye Daveney, Paul Swaine and Paul Wingrove. The Favourite was Produced by Ceci Dempsey, Ed Guiney, Lee Magiday and Yorgos Lanthimos. The Favourite is written by Tony Mcnamara and Deborah Davis and it is directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. Fox Searchlight Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Favourite was released on 21st December 2018 and takes a screen time of 120 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. The Favourite was made on a budget of $15 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $95 million. Cinematography was done by Robbie Ryan and editing by Yorgos Mavropsaridis At the 2019 Oscar Awards It won an award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role (Olivia Colman).
