A talented chef loses his job in Los Angeles due to a viral meltdown and finds his passion for Cuban cuisine while traveling across the country in a food truck with his son, ultimately gaining success and the opportunity to open a new restaurant. The Weinstein Company acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Chef was released on 5th June 2014 and takes a screen time of 101 minutes. Chef was made on a budget of ₹31 crore and at the box office it grossed only $2 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Steven Knight. Cinematography was done by Adriano Goldman and editing by Nick Moore. The music was composed by Jonathan Borland along with Steve Slanec and Rob Simonsen.
