Kolamavu Kokila

When in a financial crisis Kokila gets involved in a drug racket to make quick money. This not only endangers her but also her family. The way she handles the situation forms the storyline of the movie Kolamavu Kokila. This 2018 comedy film was directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Allirajah Subaskaran. The film features Nayanthara, Yogi Babu, Saranya Ponvannan, R.S. Shivaji, Hareesh Perandi and Charles Vinoth. The film was captured by Sivakumar Vijayan and edited by R. Nirmal. Lyca productions was involved in the making and the film was distributed by Zee Studios and Ayngaran International. Music was composed by Anirudh Ravichander. While being accused of plagiarism the music director Anirudh had clarified the beats were used after obtaining a license from BeatsbyMantra. It was released on 17th August 2018 and occupies a screen time of 140 minutes. A UA certificate for the movie was provided by the Censor Board. The movie’s estimated budget was ₹8 crore.
