An entertaining heist film Thaana Serndha Koottam (TSK) features Suriya, Karthik, Keerthy Suresh, and Ramya Krishnan. This 2018 Tamil film was written and directed by Vignesh Shivan. A young man loses his chance of becoming a CBI officer due to corruption. Angered by this incident he poses as CBI officer and raids the corrupt which forms the crux of the story. It was produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja. It was tastefully captured by Dinesh Krishnan and edited by A. Sreekar Prasad. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music and the music rights were acquired by Sony Music for a record price of ₹ 2.5 crores. It was released on 12 January 2018 and has a running time of 138 minutes. The movie grossed ₹ 2.5 crores at the box office. The distribution rights were acquired by Bharathan Films. A UA certificate for the movie was provided by the Censor Board. The story was based on a real-life incident whose rights were initially got by Special 26 and from them, TSK got the remake rights.
