Haider

After returning to his hometown in Kashmir to search for his missing father, a student becomes enraged when he discovers that his father was executed by his uncles counterinsurgency militia, leading him to stage public demonstrations against the government and eventually travel to Pakistan for military training, but after the death of his childhood sweetheart and his mothers suicide bombing, he decides to spare his uncles life. Haider is a 2014 Hindi-language Action Crime film starring Tabu Hashmi, Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Kay Kay Menon, Narendra Jha, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Deependra Singh. Haider was Produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Siddharth Roy Kapur and Vishal Bhardwaj. Haider is written by William Shakespeare, Basharat Peer and Vishal Bhardwaj and it is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Haider was released on 3rd August 2018 and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released. Haider was made on a budget of ₹48 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹49 crore. The music was composed by National Award winner Vishal Bhardwaj. At the 2015 IIFA Awards It won 3 awards including: Best Production Design, Best Costume Design and Best Makeup. At the 2015 National Film Awards It also won 6 awards including: Best Male Playback Singer, Best Screenplay (Dialogues), Best Costume Designer, Best Music Direction, Best Choreography and Best Playback Singer (Male). At the 2015 IIFA Awards It also won 2 awards including: Best Actor in a Leading Role (Shahid Kapoor) and Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Tabu Hashmi).
