A soldier discovers a potential arms deal bribery scam and goes rogue, pursued by his mentor and an officer, while also having information about a housing scam involving the Defence Minister. Aiyaary is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language Action Crime movie starring Sidharth Malhotra, Manoj Bajpayee, Rakul Preet Singh, Pooja Chopra, Adil Hussain, Kumud Mishra and Umair Patel. The movie is inspired from Adarsh Housing Society scam. Motion Picture Capital in association with Friday Filmworks, Pen India Limited and Plan C Studios. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Neeraj Pandey, Shital Bhatia, Dhaval Jayantilal Gada, Aksshay Jayantilal Gada and Motion Picture Capital. The movie is written and directed by Neeraj Pandey. Reliance Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Aiyaary was released on 15th February 2018 and takes a screen time of 160 minutes. Aiyaary was made on a budget of ₹57 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹17 crore. Cinematography was done by Sudheer Palsane and editing by Praveen Kathikuloth. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Amal Mallik along with Ram Sampath, Salim Merchant, Sulaiman Merchant, Sanjoy Chowdhury, Rochak Kohli and Ankit Tiwari.
