Jigarthanda is a Tamil film about an aspiring filmmaker who makes a comedy film instead of a serious gangster one after being kidnapped by the gangster he plans to film. Jigarthanda is a 2014 Tamil-language Action Crime film starring Siddharth Narayan, Bobby Simha, Lakshmi Menon, Nasser, Aadukalam Naren, Guru Somasundaram and Tigergarden Thangadurai. Jigarthanda was Produced by S Kathiresan. The film is written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Jigarthanda was released on 1st August 2014. The Film was successful at box office. Jigarthanda was made on a budget of ₹10 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹35 crore. The music was composed by Santhosh Narayanan. At the 2015 South Filmfare Awards It won an award for Best Supporting Actor (Bobby Simha). At the 2015 National Film Awards It also won 2 awards including: Best Supporting Actor (Bobby Simha) and Best Editing. At the 2015 It also won an award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Bobby Simha).
