Deva, a computer science graduate in Chennai, gets caught up in a dangerous smuggling business, but with the help of his friend Chitti, he overcomes numerous challenges, avenges Chittis death, and ultimately finds love and a new profession. Ayan is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language Action Crime motion picture starring Tamannaah, Akashdeep Saighal, Jagan, Karunas, Suriya Sivakumar, Tamanna Bhatia and Rayil Ravi. AVM Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Aruna Guhan, M. Saravanan and M. S. Guhan. Ayan is written by A.n. Balakrishnan, Anand K.v., D. Suresh and Subha and it is directed by Anand K.v. and K. V. Anand. Sun Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Ayan was released on 3rd April 2009 and takes a screen time of 162 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Ayan was made on a budget of ₹15 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹80 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by K. V. Anand and Subha. Cinematography was done by M. S. Prabhu and editing by Anthony Gonsalves. The music was composed by Harris Jayaraj.
