In a dystopian future, Judge Dredd combats crime in Mega-Cities and becomes a prime suspect when a news reporter critical of him is murdered, but with the help of his mentor and allies, he clears his name, defeats an escaped former Judge named Rico, and rejects a promotion to Chief Justice. Judge Dredd is a 1995 American English-language Action Crime film featuring Sylvester Stallone, Armand Assante, Diane Lane, Rob Schneider, Joan Chen, J Rgen Prochnow and Fred Wood. The movie is based on Judge Dredd by John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra. Judge Dredd was Produced by Edward R. Pressman, Charles Lippincott and Beau E. L. Marks. Judge Dredd is written by John Wagner, Carlos Ezquerra, Michael De Luca, William Wisher Jr. and Steven E De Souza and it is directed by Danny Cannon. Buena Vista Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Judge Dredd was released on 30th June 1995 and takes a screen time of 96 minutes. Judge Dredd was made on a budget of $90 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $113 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by William Wisher, Jr. and Steven E. de Souza. Cinematography was done by Adrian Biddle and editing by Alex Mackie and Harry Keramidas. The music was composed by Alan Silvestri.
