The movie is inspired from Characters by Chester Gould. Touchstone Pictures in association with Silver Screen Partners IV and Mulholland Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Warren Beatty. Dick Tracy is written by Chester Gould, Jim Cash and Jack Epps Jr. and it is directed by Warren Beatty. Buena Vista Pictures Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the film. Dick Tracy was released on 15th June 1990 and takes a screen time of 105 minutes. The Film was successful at box office.
