The Phantom, descendent of a line of African superheroes, travels to New York City to thwart a wealthy criminal genius from obtaining three magic skulls which would give him the secret to ultimate power. The Phantom is a 1996 English-language Action Adventure motion picture featuring Billy Zane, Treat Williams, Kristy Swanson, Catherine Zeta-jones, James Remar, Patrick Mcgoohan and Rod Dailey. The movie is inspired from The Phantom by Lee Falk. The Ladd Company in association with Village Roadshow Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Alan Ladd Jr. and Robert Evans. The Phantom is written by Lee Falk and Jeffrey Boam and it is directed by Simon Wincer. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The Phantom was released on 7th June 1996 and takes a screen time of 100 minutes. The Phantom was made on a budget of $45 million and at the box office it grossed only $17 million. Cinematography was done by David Burr and editing by O. Nicholas Brown and Bryan H. Carroll. The music was composed by David Newman.
