Dr. Anansa Linderby (Beverly Johnson) is kidnapped in a medical mission in Africa by a slave trader. From this moment, her husband will do anything to recover her and to punish the bad guys, but that will be not an easy task. Ashanti is a 1979 English-language Action Adventure motion picture starring Michael Caine, Peter Ustinov, Kabir Bedi, Beverly Johnson, Omar Sharif, Rex Harrison and Robert Rietty. The movie is based on bano by Alberto V zquez-Figueroa. Ashanti was Produced by Georges-alain Vuille. Ashanti is written by Stephen Geller and George Macdonald Fraser and it is directed by Richard Fleischer. Warner Bros. acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Ashanti was released on 21st February 1979 and takes a screen time of 118 minutes. Ashanti was made on a budget of $7 million. Cinematography was done by Aldo Tonti and editing by Ernest Walter. The music was composed by Michael Melvoin.
