Anne visits her father, Anthony, with dementia who refuses to have caregivers, and before she moves to Paris, she hires a new caregiver named Laura, but Anthony becomes increasingly confused and believes he is living in his own flat when hes really been living with Anne for years, and eventually wakes up in a nursing home and learns that Anne lives in Paris and visits occasionally.
