A grumpy Korean War veteran forms a bond with his Hmong neighbors and saves them from a dangerous situation, but faces retaliation from a gang; he sacrifices himself to allow them to escape and leaves his house to the church and his car to one of the neighbors. Gran Torino is written by Nick Schenk and Dave Johannson and it is directed by Clint Eastwood and Mark D. Lee. Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film. Gran Torino was released on 26th March 2009 and takes a screen time of 116 minutes. The Film was successful at box office.
