The Salesman

A couple working in the theatre flee their old apartment and move into a new one, but the wife is assaulted by an intruder, leading the husband on a journey to find the attacker and seek revenge, until they ultimately reconcile and return to the theatre. The Salesman is a 2016 Persian-language Drama Thriller motion picture starring Shahab Hosseini, Taraneh Alidoosti, Mina Sadati, Mojtaba Pirzadeh, Shirin Aghakashi, Farid Sajjadi Hosseini and Babak Karimi. Memento Films Production in association with Asghar Farhadi Production and Arte France Cin ma. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Asghar Farhadi and Alexandre Mallet-guy. The film is written and directed by Asghar Farhadi. Filmiran acquired the distribution rights for the film. The Salesman was released on 31st August 2016 and takes a screen time of 125 minutes. The film made a box office gross of ﷼16 billion. Cinematography was done by Hossein Jafarian and editing by Hayedeh Safiyari. The music was composed by Sattar Oraki. At the 2017 Oscar Awards It won an award for Best Foreign Language Film of the Year.
