Two thieves, Raja and Balu, hide in Anjalis house after stealing a Ganesha idol and become involved in her pursuit of a singing career while dealing with family drama and false accusations. Raja is a 1999 Indian Telugu-language Family Drama movie starring Mirza Abbas Ali, Annapurna, Tanikella Bharani, Dasari Brahmam, Chandramohan, Kallu Chidambaram and Vijaya Y. The movie is inspired from Unnidathil Ennai Koduthen. Super Good Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) R. B. Choudary. Raja is written by C.h. Vijay Kumar, Muppalaneni Siva and Vikraman and it is directed by Muppalaneni Siva and Muppalaneni Shiva. Raja was released on 18th March 1999 and takes a screen time of 166 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Muppalaneni Shiva. Cinematography was done by Shyam K. Naidu and editing by Marthand K. Venkatesh. The music was composed by S. A. Rajkumar. At the 2000 South Filmfare Awards It won 2 awards including: Best Actress (Soundarya Raghu) and Best Film.
