The movie is based on Carrie by Stephen King. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures in association with Screen Gems and Misher Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Kevin Misher. Carrie is written by Lawrence J. Cohen, Lawrence D. Cohen, Roberto Aguirre Sacasa and Stephen King and it is directed by Kimberly Peirce. Sony Pictures Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Carrie was released on 24th October 2013 and takes a screen time of 99 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Carrie was made on a budget of $30 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $84 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Lawrence D. Cohen and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.
