Koose Muniswamy Veerappan was a notorious poacher and sandalwood smuggler who operated in the Sathyamangalam Forest, killing numerous people and defying authorities until he was finally captured and killed by the Tamil Nadu STF team. Veerappan is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language Action Biography movie starring Sandeep Bharadwaj, Sachiin Joshi, Lisa Ray, Usha Jadhav, Raina Sachiin Joshi, Zarine Khan and Ranaksh Rana. Viking Media & Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Raina Sachiin Joshi and Raina Sachin Joshi. Veerappan is written by Jai Priyadarshi, R.d. Tailang, Ram Gopal Varma and R. D. Tailang and it is directed by Ram Gopal Varma. AA Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Veerappan was released on 27th May 2016 and takes a screen time of 125 minutes. Veerappan was made on a budget of ₹14 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹6 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Ram Gopal Varma. Cinematography was done by Aniket Khandagale and editing by Anwar Ali. The music was composed by Jeet Ganguly along with Sharib Sabri, Toshi Sabri, Jeet Gannguli, Shaarib-toshi and Background Score: John Stewart Eduri.
