A disillusioned mortician enters a seminary, plans to renounce his vows, but after being ordained and faced with a lack of faith, he has a change of heart and becomes an exorcist. The Rite is a 2011 English-language Drama Thriller movie starring Anthony Hopkins, Colin O donoghue, Alice Braga, Ciaran Hinds, Toby Jones, Rutger Hauer and Beatrice Zentai. The movie is based on The Rite: The Making of a Modern Exorcist by Matt Baglio. New Line Cinema in association with TriBeCa Productions and Contrafilm. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Beau Flynn and Tripp Vinson. The Rite is written by Michael Petroni and Matt Baglio and it is directed by Mikael Håfström and Mikael H Fstr M. Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. The Rite was released on 10th February 2011 and takes a screen time of 113 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. The Rite was made on a budget of $37 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $96 million. Cinematography was done by Ben Davis and editing by Peter Boyle. The music was composed by Alex Heffes.
