Sathi

A talented singer named Bijoy makes many sacrifices including selling his kidney to fund the eye treatment of Sonali, who becomes a famous singer while he is imprisoned for a false charge. Sathi is a 2002 Indian Bengali-language Drama Musical film starring Priyanka Trivedi, Ranjit Mallick, Sanghamitra Bandyopadhyay, Ramen Roy Chowdhuri, Jeet Ganguly, Amarnath Mukherjee and Md. Ismail Ahmed. The movie is based on Thulladha Manamum Thullum. Sathi was Produced by Shree Venkatesh Films. Sathi is written by Manotosh Chakrabarty, Haranath Chakraborty and Monotosh Chakraborty and it is directed by Haranath Chakraborty. Shree Venkatesh Films acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Sathi was released on 1st January 2002 and takes a screen time of 136 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Sathi was made on a budget of ₹0 lakh and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹16 crore. Cinematography was done by V. Prabhakar and editing by Swapan Guha. The music was composed by S. P. Venkatesh.
