A young man falsely accused of murder forms a band with four other inmates in order to participate in a prison competition, while an NGO worker helps them along the way. Emmay Entertainment was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Madhu Bhojwani, Monisha Advani, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Nikkhil Advani. Lucknow Central is written by Aseem Arora and Ranjit Tiwari and it is directed by Ranjit Tiwari. Viacom 18 Motion Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the film.
