Chicago is a 2002 American English-language Comedy Crime movie starring Ren E Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-jones, Richard Gere, Queen Latifah, John C. Reilly, Lucy Liu and Rob Smith. The movie is inspired from Chicago by Bob Fosse Fred Ebb Chicago by Maurine Dallas Watkins. Producer Circle Co. in association with Zadan/Meron Production. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Martin Richards. Chicago is written by Bill Condon, Bob Fosse, Fred Ebb and Maurine Dallas Watkins and it is directed by Rob Marshall. Miramax Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Chicago was released on 27th December 2002 and takes a screen time of 113 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Chicago was made on a budget of $45 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $306 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Bill Condon. Cinematography was done by Dion Beebe and editing by Martin Walsh. The music was composed by John Kander along with Fred Ebb and Danny Elfman. At the 2003 Oscar Awards It won 6 awards including: Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Catherine Zeta-Jones), Best Picture, Best Art Direction-Set Decoration, Best Costume Design, Best Film Editing and Best Sound.
