Rejected by many suitors due to her traditional ways, Telugu librarian Saraswati Saru Parthasarthy meets an ex-convict named Inder Lal Parihaar who falls in love with her and agrees to marry her when she is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Jhoom Jhoom Productions in association with Soham Rockstar Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Deepak Mukut. The film is written and directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. Eros International acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Sanam Teri Kasam was released on 5th February 2016 and takes a screen time of 154 minutes. Sanam Teri Kasam was made on a budget of ₹19 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹8 crore. Cinematography was done by Chirantan Das. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Himesh Reshammiya.
